Mare Island Naval Base- California
Deployment to Japan- (8 mins.) this reel was shot on the USS Breckinridge during a September (year unknown) deployment to Japan. The destroyer passes beneath the Golden Gate Bridge and also makes a stop in Hawaii as well.
U.S. Navy Parade- (2 mins.) This parade was shot in the early 1960's at an unknown location. The camera operator was from the Southern California area and the original 8mm video was shot in a warm climate, as evident from the palm trees in the background. The soldiers marching in the parade are carrying flags from the state of Hawaii as well as the state of Florida.
